Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 16 August 2026

1. About these terms

These terms explain the rules that apply when you visit or use www.wsinsurance.co.uk.

By using this website, you confirm that you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, you should not use the website.

These terms govern use of the website only. They do not replace or form part of your insurance policy, our Terms of Business, an insurer’s policy wording or any other agreement provided to you during the insurance sales process.

2. Who we are

This website is operated by WS Brokers Limited, trading as WS Insurance Brokers.

WS Brokers Limited is registered in England and Wales under company number 13040856.

Registered office:

Francis Louis House
Belmont Road
Exeter
England
EX1 2HF

WS Brokers Limited is an insurance intermediary authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under Firm Reference Number 947769.

You can check our regulatory status and permitted activities on the Financial Services Register at register.fca.org.uk.

References in these terms to “WS Insurance Brokers”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean WS Brokers Limited.

3. Our insurance services

We provide insurance broking, advice, arrangement, administration and related support services.

The capacity in which we act, the scope of our service, whether we provide a personal recommendation, the basis of our market selection and how we are paid will be explained in our Terms of Business and other customer documentation provided during the insurance sales process.

We have access to a panel of leading and specialist insurers. We do not necessarily approach every insurer in the market.

We are an insurance intermediary and not an insurer. Insurance policies are underwritten and issued by the relevant insurer.

Nothing in these website terms changes or restricts any duty or liability that we have under the regulatory system.

4. Website information is general

Information published on this website is provided for general information and marketing purposes.

Unless we expressly tell you otherwise as part of a formal insurance advice process, website content:

  • is not a personal recommendation;

  • does not take account of your individual circumstances;

  • does not constitute legal, tax, medical, surveying or financial advice;

  • is not a guarantee that a particular insurance product or level of cover is suitable for you; and

  • should not be treated as a substitute for reading the applicable quotation, policy wording, schedule, statement of fact and other insurance documents.

You should contact us if you require advice or assistance based on your individual circumstances.

5. Quotations and insurance cover

Submitting an enquiry, requesting a callback or completing a website form does not:

  • create an insurance contract;

  • guarantee that insurance will be available;

  • bind an insurer to provide cover;

  • confirm that a risk has been accepted; or

  • mean that insurance cover has started.

Any initial price, indication or discussion is subject to the information provided, insurer underwriting, eligibility requirements, policy terms and final written confirmation.

Insurance cover will only begin once the relevant insurer or authorised intermediary has confirmed acceptance, any applicable payment requirements have been met and a commencement date has been agreed.

You should not cancel existing insurance until replacement cover has been formally confirmed.

6. Information you provide

You are responsible for taking reasonable care to provide complete and accurate information when requesting a quotation, arranging insurance, amending a policy, renewing cover or making a claim.

Commercial customers may have additional duties relating to fair presentation of the risk.

If information is incomplete, inaccurate or misleading, the insurer may change the policy terms or premium, cancel or avoid the policy, reduce a claim payment or reject a claim. The consequences will depend on the circumstances, the applicable law and the insurer’s policy terms.

You must tell us promptly if information provided to us changes or if you believe that any quotation, policy document, statement of fact or other record is inaccurate.

7. Availability of products

The insurance products and services described on this website are subject to:

  • insurer availability;

  • underwriting acceptance;

  • eligibility requirements;

  • geographical restrictions;

  • policy terms, conditions and exclusions;

  • applicable limits and excesses; and

  • changes in the insurance market.

The appearance of an insurance product or insurer on this website does not guarantee that it will be available or suitable in every case.

References to insurers, insurance products or potential benefits should not be interpreted as a guarantee of cover, price, claim acceptance or outcome.

8. Claims information

We may provide guidance and assistance during the claims process and may liaise with insurers or claims handlers where this forms part of our service.

Claims are considered and decided by the relevant insurer or authorised claims handler in accordance with the policy terms and the circumstances of the claim.

Nothing on this website guarantees that a claim will be accepted, that a particular amount will be paid or that a claim will be resolved within a particular period.

Emergency claims information and insurer contact numbers may change. You should check your current policy documents or contact the relevant insurer if urgent assistance is required.

9. Accuracy of website content

We take reasonable care to ensure that information on this website is clear and accurate when published.

Insurance products, premiums, legislation, regulation, insurer requirements and market conditions can change. We cannot guarantee that every page will always be completely current or applicable to every situation.

Publication dates and “last updated” dates indicate when content was produced or reviewed, but they do not guarantee that no relevant changes have taken place since that date.

If you identify information that appears inaccurate or out of date, please contact us at hello@wsinsurance.co.uk.

10. Permitted use

You may use this website for lawful personal or business purposes connected with obtaining information about our services or contacting us.

You must not:

  • use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;

  • knowingly provide false or misleading information;

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server or connected systems;

  • introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code;

  • interfere with the operation or security of the website;

  • use automated systems to extract substantial amounts of website content without permission;

  • impersonate another person or organisation; or

  • use website content in a way that infringes our rights or the rights of another person.

12. Links to other websites

This website may contain links to websites operated by insurers, regulators, professional organisations, service providers or other third parties.

Links are provided for information and convenience. Unless expressly stated, they do not mean that we control, approve or accept responsibility for the third-party website or all of its content.

Third-party websites operate under their own terms, privacy notices and cookie policies. You should review those documents before using the relevant website or providing personal information.

13. Website security and availability

We may suspend, withdraw, restrict or change any part of the website for maintenance, security, operational or business reasons.

You are responsible for using appropriate security software and protecting the device and internet connection used to access the website.

14. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful. In particular, nothing excludes or restricts:

  • liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence;

  • liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

  • any duty or liability arising under the regulatory system that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted; or

  • any rights or remedies that a consumer cannot lawfully waive.

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these website terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for:

  • loss arising from reliance on general website information instead of obtaining advice appropriate to your circumstances;

  • loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by you or another person;

  • decisions made by insurers or other independent organisations;

  • loss caused by events outside our reasonable control;

  • loss arising from a third-party website or service that we do not control; or

  • loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.

If you use this website for business purposes, we will not be liable for loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity, anticipated savings, goodwill or any indirect or consequential business loss, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

This section relates to use of the website. Liability relating to our insurance-broking services is governed by the applicable law, regulatory requirements and the customer documentation provided to you.

15. Privacy and cookies

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

Our Privacy Notice explains:

  • what information we collect;

  • how and why we use it;

  • who we may share it with;

  • how long we retain it; and

  • your data-protection rights.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy.

Where required, non-essential cookies will only be used in accordance with your cookie preferences.
